The Bristol Channel IRC Championship Shanghai Cup Racing was cancelled today due to forecast weather conditions however a passage race of boats heading from Portishead to CBYC was held and here are the great pics!

The weekend is almost upon us and what a weekend it is if you are a yacht racer on the Bristol Channel. This is the first of two weekends of racing at two venues to decide the Bristol Channel IRC Championship winner 2026.
Over the same weekends but at a single venue( CBYC) the Nimrod Cup for non-IRC rated yachts takes place.
Huge thanks to the hosts Portishead Cruising Club and Cardiff Bay Yacht Club where no doubt there will be much merriment ashore when the racing is done. And good luck to all the crews!
