Only a few days to go until Ilfracombe Shanty Festival. There are 12 venues including ILFRACOMBE YACHT CLUB and lots of bands. With relatively small tides Friday & Saturday you should be able to anchor off quite close in as well as drying out( Check with harbourmaster) But all in all this is definitely a great weekend to visit!

The extreme weather will be gone and according to the forecast we can expect top-teen temperature's. The harbour authority have discounted their pontoon charges to just £22 for any length of boat for the whole weekend starting 0900 on the 3rd. The BCYA will be there with a FREE drinks reception at 6pm on the 4th and THE LORD MAYOR OF CARDIFF will be presenting the Bristol Channel Yachtsperson of the Year and the Bristol Channel Club Of The Year awards at that reception.
DON'T FORGET TO BOOK YOUR BOAT IN ( If you don't come you don't pay anything so why wouldn't you book your place?)

Update to yesterdays NTM from Canal & River Trust
A small point but we believe there is a typo in this NTM and the reason for closure should be staff welfare not craft welfare.
JULY IS JUST ROUND THE CORNER AND ITS A "BIG" MONTH FOR CRUISING EVENTS ON THE BEAUTIFUL BRISTOL CHANNEL.....( Perhaps not quite so big as the yacht in the picture)
