Restrictions on the Gloucester & Sharpness Canal are ongoing. CRT have issued an extension to their previous NTM with the next review now due on the 27th Oct.
Has your club started putting its calendar together for next year yet? At the BCYA we are particularly interested in dates for your Club Regatta and any Open Meetings.
Because of the Bristol Channel tides there are invariably only a few weekends in the summer when the tides are ideal and if that weekend is ideal for your club it is ideal for lots of other clubs. We will publish all the dates as they come in to help avoid clashes and maximise visitor participation. The sooner you let us have your dates the more likely that other clubs will work around you and the better attendance you will get. E mail your dates to

I’m a member of PCC and race on Hero and volunteer at the Portishead RNLI station and we’re organising a grand ball in November, with Pip Hare as our guest speaker. I’ve already advertised it locally, would you be able to post about it on your page so that it reaches all Bristol Channel clubs? Should be a great evening with a few interesting stories from Pip around her round the world adventures.
